Marquis, Hill have good outings

On Thursday, Jason Marquis had a good outting on Thursday’s game against the Reds. He was in line to get the win, when the bullpen gave up the runs. Cubs lost the game 5-2.

On Friday, in Milwaukee, Rich Hill pitched an awesome game. Keeping the Brewcrew hitless through 5 innings. He froze the hitters, they looked confused at the plate. And if you’re going to give up a no hitter, might as well as go it in style with a homerun.

Cubs connected for six runs in the first inning and scattered three more throughout the rest of the game. Mark DeRosa connected for a two-run home run in the first. Ronny Cedano connected later on for a solo shot.

Hill pitched seven innings, giving up one hit and struck out six. He didn’t not walk any batters.

Carlos Zambrano takes the mound tonight against Ben Sheets. Zambrano is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA and Sheets is 1-0 with a 1.00.
